Transformational Butterfly Coaching: Seeing, Believing, Becoming
Hello my friends,
Thank you for being here. I have a story for you today.
It is a true story about breaking through to have what you really want – and what it takes to get there.
A young woman said she wants to feel beautiful and elegant in her job interview, but she ducks her head; she’s shy. Posture is not only bio-mechanics and stacking the head up on top. It’s about what’s inside.
I was reminded of a story from my own life…and I helped her. And yes, she aced the interview, and two days ago she told me, she got the job. YAY!!!
And so I find that
I’m transforming like a butterfly into a transformational – magical – spiritual – coach.
I SEE you and BELIEVE in you
Sometimes that’s all it takes for someone to make it big;
Someone who believes in them.
When I was an aspiring actress, I studied in college and also dropped out of school. (*gasp! From my Jewish parents who must’ve just died in the moment, crushed inside).
I moved to LA and transferred to UCLA to study Acting and Theater, and when I first moved, I stayed with my Aunt and Uncle.
They didn’t have a room for me but they ALWAYS had room.
A cot in the living room, folded up in the day, for six whole weeks while I hunted a job and apartment.
They never ever let me feel anything but loved and welcome.
When I was living with my Aunt and Uncle, the one who believed in me the MOST was their housekeeper, Dorothy. She’d been there forever…and she spoke with authority that made the floors quiver.
One day she stood in the archway from the kitchen to the dining room. She gave me a look and declared, “I know you’re going to make it, you’re going to DO it for us!”
I took her faith as my own, picked up my pieced-together resume, stapled my headshot on the back, and tromped around dingy offices of second string Hollywood agents to take me on.
She was more sure than I was, but one day, I proved her right and Stevens-Gray agency took me on. I worked as an Actress, in L.A. and overseas…
We all need someone who sees us
Standing tall
In the unfolding of our spine
Someone to observe and be present with compassion
Someone who never gives up
I love doing that for people
It is what I do naturally
Cheerleading you on
From truth and with compassion and grace.
With love,
Dana
